Frequently asked questions

Where do these Iceland itineraries come from?

Two places. The editor picks were built by real travelers on Iceland Trip and published publicly; our editors reviewed hundreds of them and picked the best two or three for each trip length and traveler type, checking driving times, routing, overnight bases and season. The expert-built plans were drawn up by Iceland trip experts for real clients, and only those that pass our driving, road and season checks are listed.

How do I copy an itinerary and change it?

Open any plan and click "Duplicate and make it yours". A private copy is saved to your account, where you can set your own dates, change the pace, swap stops or ask our AI to rework a day. The original stays untouched.

How many days do I need in Iceland?

Three or four days covers Reykjavík, the Golden Circle and part of the South Coast. A week adds the Glacier Lagoon. Ten days is the sweet spot for the full Ring Road in summer, and two weeks or more lets you add the Westfjords or the highlands.

Is it free to use these itineraries?

Yes. Browsing is free without an account, and duplicating or editing an itinerary is free with an Iceland Trip account, which takes an email code to open. The copy is yours to change, share with travel companions and export as a PDF. The only paid option is the optional expert add-on for your trip dates.
