Terms & Conditions

Last updated: May 12, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NordicPath ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NordicPath. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Service

NordicPath is an AI-powered travel itinerary service that generates personalized Iceland trip plans based on your preferences. The Service uses artificial intelligence (Google Gemini) to create day-by-day itineraries with suggested activities, accommodations, and booking links.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Important: Itineraries generated by NordicPath are created using artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and planning purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, outdated information, or suggestions that may not be suitable for your specific circumstances.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated itineraries are suggestions and not professional travel advice
  • You are responsible for verifying all information (opening hours, prices, availability, road conditions, weather, safety)
  • Driving times, hiking durations, and other estimates may vary based on actual conditions
  • Some locations may be inaccessible or dangerous depending on season, weather, or road conditions
  • You should always check official Icelandic resources (SafeTravel.is, Road.is) before traveling

5. Travel Safety and Responsibility

Iceland's environment can be challenging and conditions change rapidly. You are solely responsible for your safety while traveling. NordicPath is not liable for any injuries, accidents, property damage, or other incidents that occur during your trip.

We strongly recommend:

  • Purchasing comprehensive travel insurance
  • Registering your travel plans with SafeTravel.is
  • Checking road and weather conditions daily
  • Respecting all safety signs and barriers
  • Being prepared for rapidly changing weather

6. Third-Party Bookings and Reservations

NordicPath is an informational and itinerary-planning service only. We do not sell, broker, arrange, manage, fulfill, process payment for, or otherwise transact any travel product or service, including but not limited to flights, accommodations, car rentals, tours, activities, excursions, transfers, insurance, restaurant reservations, or any other goods or services that may be referenced, suggested, displayed, recommended, or linked from the Service (each, a “Third-Party Booking”).

Any Third-Party Booking that you initiate, request, complete, or attempt to complete through a link, button, search result, recommendation, redirect, or referral originating from the Service is made directly with the relevant third-party supplier (including, without limitation, Viator, Booking.com, Blue Car Rental, Iceland-Trip.com, hotels, tour operators, activity providers, transport companies, restaurants, insurers, and any other supplier; each, a “Supplier”). The contract for any such booking is formed solely and exclusively between you and the Supplier and is governed entirely by the Supplier's own terms, conditions, cancellation policy, refund policy, and privacy notice. NordicPath is not a party to that contract.

NordicPath does not act as a travel agent, tour operator, broker, intermediary, fiduciary, escrow holder, or agent of either you or any Supplier. No agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or franchise relationship is created between you and NordicPath by your use of the Service or by your completing or attempting to complete a Third-Party Booking.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge and agree that NordicPath is not responsible or liable for, and expressly disclaims any responsibility, liability, warranty, representation, or guarantee with respect to, any matter arising from or relating to any Third-Party Booking, including without limitation:

  • the availability, accuracy, completeness, pricing, currency conversion, taxes, surcharges, fees, terms, conditions, descriptions, photographs, ratings, reviews, or quality of any product, service, or Supplier shown, suggested, or linked from the Service;
  • any reservation, confirmation, cancellation, modification, rescheduling, no-show, overbooking, downgrade, substitution, delay, denied boarding or entry, or failure or refusal to provide any travel product or service;
  • any refund, chargeback, credit, voucher, compensation, reimbursement, or other remedy claimed in connection with a Third-Party Booking;
  • the financial default, insolvency, bankruptcy, suspension, or cessation of operations of any Supplier;
  • any loss, damage, injury, illness, death, personal harm, theft, property damage, missed connection, delay, additional expense, or other consequence suffered before, during, or after any travel arising from or related to a Third-Party Booking;
  • any breach of contract, negligence, misrepresentation, fraud, wilful misconduct, or other act or omission of any Supplier or its personnel;
  • any failure of any Supplier to comply with applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, safety standards, accessibility requirements, or consumer protection rules;
  • any change in price, availability, route, schedule, vehicle, accommodation, itinerary, or other terms between the time information is displayed on the Service and the time you complete a booking with the Supplier; and
  • any dispute between you and a Supplier, including any payment dispute, complaint, claim, or chargeback.

Information shown on the Service (including prices, availability, ratings, opening hours, durations, tour times, departure points, photographs, and descriptions) is provided for general guidance only, may be sourced from third parties or generated by artificial intelligence, may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate, and does not constitute an offer or a binding quotation. Final pricing, availability, inclusions, and booking terms are determined solely by the relevant Supplier at the time you complete the booking on the Supplier's platform. Any “best price”, “lowest price”, “price match”, “guaranteed price”, or similar reference on the Service is a statement by the relevant Supplier and not by NordicPath; NordicPath makes no such guarantee.

You are solely responsible for: (i) reviewing the Supplier's terms, cancellation policy, and privacy notice before completing any booking; (ii) verifying all booking details (including dates, times, prices, passenger or guest names, locations, and inclusions); (iii) obtaining and maintaining adequate travel, medical, cancellation, and liability insurance; (iv) ensuring that you and every member of your party hold all required travel documents (including passports, visas, permits, and health certificates); and (v) complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and Supplier requirements.

Any claim, complaint, request, or dispute regarding a Third-Party Booking must be directed exclusively to the relevant Supplier. NordicPath has no obligation to mediate, intervene in, investigate, refund, or resolve any such matter and shall have no liability in connection with it.

Some links to Suppliers are affiliate or referral links, meaning NordicPath may earn a commission if you complete a booking after following such a link. Receiving a commission does not make NordicPath responsible for the Supplier's performance, does not create any agency or fiduciary relationship, and does not affect the price you pay. Nothing in this Section limits any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the laws of your country of residence.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and content (excluding user-generated content and AI-generated itineraries), is owned by NordicPath and protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of any personal content you provide (such as trip preferences). You grant us a non-exclusive license to use this information to provide and improve the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORDICPATH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content
  • Any unauthorized access to your account or data
  • Any third-party services or websites linked from our Service
  • Any Third-Party Booking or reservation that you make, attempt to make, or fail to make following or as a result of your use of the Service (as more fully described in Section 6)
  • Any act, omission, default, insolvency, or service failure of any Supplier
  • Any incidents during your travel in Iceland

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for your needs.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NordicPath, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. For users in the European Union, nothing in these Terms affects your rights under EU consumer protection laws.

14. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration or the appropriate courts as permitted by law.

EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
